Capacity building
Care Foundation has provided $2M for 90 different capacity building trainings for hundreds of nonprofit leaders over nine years. We are pleased with the impact of the programs and feel we have accomplished the initiative goals.
While Care will not be offering future trainings, there are many more resources available now for nonprofits than when Care began this programming and we hope you, our local nonprofits, will take advantage of those.
We thank you for allowing us to serve you as you provided services to the residents of Northwest Arkansas and we wish you the very best in your continued successes.

are Foundation, a supporting organization to the Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation, was established through the sale of Northwest Health System in 1998. Since Northwest Health System was a nonprofit organization, federal law required that the net proceeds of the transaction be either donated to charity or held exclusively for the benefit of charity. Care Foundation's Board of Directors chose the second option and aligned itself with the community foundation in order to serve the broadest needs of this area.
